Water Treatment
How to Improve Your Water Quality
Did you know that hard water, bacterial contaminants, minerals, and other harmful substances can get into your water supply? This leaves you and your family with poor water quality and vulnerable to illness. To solve this water quality problem, Tim’s Plumbing offers professionally installed water treatment systems.
The first thing we do when you contact us about water quality concerns is a free water test. This test helps us determine which treatment system works best to solve your water quality problem. We look for other poor water quality signs like pinholes in the piping, odor, and stains on fixtures. Contact us today for your free water test.
We Install Water Treatment Systems For Most Situations
No matter your water quality concerns, we can help you pick the system that best fits your needs.
Tim’s Plumbing offers three types of water treatment systems:
Ultraviolet (UV) Systems
In addition to the large number of chemical and mineral contaminants that can enter your water supply, you should also be concerned about bacterial organisms. If your water does test positive for living organisms, we can use ultraviolet light to kill the bacteria and filter it out before it reaches your tap.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems
Reverse osmosis (RO) uses pressure to force water molecules through a filter to remove contaminants, leaving clean drinking water.
We offer two types of RO systems:
- Whole-Home RO Systems – Filters all the water entering the home from the outside.
- Point-of-Use RO Systems – Filters that mount directly to the faucet.
Water Softener Systems
Have you noticed discoloration on your bathroom fixtures or kitchen sink? It may be from trace mineral deposits, like iron, calcium, and magnesium found in hard water. Installing a water softener can remove a significant amount of minerals from your water. This leaves you with cleaner, healthier water, making it easier on your fixtures and appliances.
